This TC2 Youth Group, directed by Rosalind Thomas-Clark, meets weekly to work on acting exercises, scenes from plays, including Shakespeare, and playwriting. They have performed several Showcases of their work. Interested young people should contact us.
In May 2017 the Tornadoes showed their expertise at improvisation with a program of skits and games titled The Nut-Free Kingdom.
Two of the Tornadoes were selected to appear as the young “soldiers” in the video for The Great War Theatre Project.
ZombedyCazi Improv show at ComedyCazi, Somerville, October 17, 2015
These five young men are playing several roles each in this Showcase of their work over the past twelve weeks. They have grown as actors over the past four years , having presented scenes from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth The Tempest and Hamlet; Picasso at the Lapin Agile by Steve Martin; Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard; Stones in his Pockets by Marie Jones; The Breakfast Club by John Hughes; Hamilton Revisited and several original plays. They frequent the ComedyCazi Improv Troupe in Davis Square each month, learning about stand-up and comic timing from these ‘awesome actors’.
Josh Santora, TC2 actor and Teaching Artist, and actor with the ComedyCazi Improv Troupe, is also working with them on improvisation techniques. Noelle Patten is working with them on choreography.
