TC Squared is collaborating with Continuum Dance to explore how theatre and dance may come together to create something meaningful and inspiring by involving text written by playwrights from the TC Squared Play Lab.
Continuum Dance was started by Fernadina Chan, former Head of Dance and Artistic Dean at Boston Arts Academy, in order to work with some of her dance alums to produce new choreography. This group came together with TC Squared for an exploratory workshop led by Fern Chan and Elyas Harris (TC2 actor, dancer, writer and director). The chosen theme was Friendship. The result was a series of exercises around dance and theatre techniques, culminating in the exploration of text in short improvised pieces.
The next stage of this project will be to continue this exploration and build a dance theatre piece around selected texts. More to come…
