Concrete Dreams by Alexis Krysten Morgan (fall 2023)

Concrete Dreams is a play about two lifelong friends from different ethnic groups who apply to the same ivy-league school and receive different outcomes. The line between allies and enemies is blurred. Tensions rise and long-held grudges reach a boiling point, as the high school community grapples with the fallout and what it means to achieve the “American Dream.”

Can you predict your destiny? How do we end up where we are? The Fortune Teller follows several generations of a family from China in the 1800’s to present day America as they search for their destiny…and each other.


Smoked Oysters by Mary M. McCullough (January 2020)

Ulysses, a retired black history professor, and his wife, are planning their dream trip, to go on a safari in Kenya. Bernard, their only child, is a success, and is about to receive a big promotion. All is smooth sailing until Ulysses and Arnetta get separated on a walk home from the zoo.

Smoked Oysters tells the story of a Black family whose comfortable, predictable life is tested by circumstances beyond their control.


Crossing Flight, a Legion Cycle play by Erin Lerch (January 2018)

Once a veteran fighter pilot, Mel now spends her days hiding from the constant threat of the alien Legion in the basement of an old ranger station, deep in the untouched wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. But when Laione, a winged Legion scout, is shot down right over her head, Mel seizes what could be her last chance to fulfill a lifelong dream. What starts out as an uneasy truce slowly morphs into something more as they race against the clock. The Legion is coming. Can they finish in time?
 


Everyman Revisited: Social Issues in Today’s World (2016)

GOD looks at this messed up world of 2016 and She decides it’s time for a reckoning with MAN – and that means EVERYMAN, which means US! She calls her Messenger DEATH and tells him to bring EVERYMAN to meet Her and announce his good deeds.

TC Squared worked with middle and high school, community and senior actors on this professional production. The text, adapted by TC Squared, was based on the National Theatre London adaptation by Carol Ann Duffy. We performed at the Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, Josiah Quincy Upper School, and Lena Park CDC, Dorchester.
